Senior Software Engineering Consultant

JOB SUMMARY: Our client, JHProIT, a US‑based technology consulting firm, is looking for a Senior Software Engineering Consultant to work remotely. The role involves representing the company's engineering capabilities in client interviews, leading technical discussions, reviewing proposed solutions and helping establish new client engagements. The successful candidate will use their professional software engineering experience and technical judgment to communicate solutions and support successful project launches. RESPONSIBILITIES - Represent JHProIT's engineering capabilities during technical interviews with prospective US-based clients and stakeholder discussions. - Demonstrate professional software engineering knowledge by explaining technical concepts, engineering approaches and backend solutions. - Participate in architecture and solution reviews, discussing backend architecture, APIs, databases, integrations and system scalability. - Evaluate client requirements and recommend practical technical solutions based on professional experience and technical judgment. - Explain engineering decisions, technical trade-offs and proposed solutions clearly to clients and other stakeholders. - Help translate client requirements into proposed technical solutions and identify the engineering work required for successful project delivery. - Support the successful launch of new client engagements by contributing to technical discussions and demonstrating JHProIT's engineering capabilities. - Provide technical guidance and contribute to relevant project discussions when required during the engagement. BENEFITS & COMPENSATION - Base hourly pay of USD $35–$60 for qualifying client interview participation. - Performance-based bonus of USD $2,500 per successful project engagement. - The performance bonus is paid in milestones: $500 upon receiving an official offer, followed by $1,000 for each of the first two months the engagement runs. - Opportunity to earn additional performance bonuses based on the number of successful project engagements secured. - Fully remote working arrangement. - Opportunity to work with a US-based technology consulting company. - Exposure to international clients, technical discussions and software engineering projects. Compensation Formula: Base Hourly Salary + ($2,500 × N) Where N represents the number of successful project engagements per month.

- Minimum of 8 years of professional backend software engineering experience (9+ years is a plus) - Strong professional experience with at least 2–3 backend programming languages or frameworks. - Experience with technologies such as Java/Spring, C#/.NET, JavaScript/TypeScript/Node.js, Python/Django, Ruby on Rails or comparable technologies. - Strong understanding of backend architecture, API development, databases, system design, integrations and scalable application development. - Hands-on experience building, maintaining and supporting production software systems. - Ability to explain technical concepts, engineering decisions and solutions clearly, demonstrating a strong understanding of technologies used professionally. - Experience working across different technology stacks, development environments and software architectures. - Proven ability to participate confidently in technical interviews, client discussions, solution reviews or engineering assessments. - Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical judgment skills, with the ability to connect engineering decisions to business requirements. - Excellent spoken and written English proficiency (C1 level or above), with the confidence to communicate effectively with US-based clients and stakeholders. - Ability to participate in scheduled client interviews and technical discussions, including meetings that may fall within US working hours. ADDITIONAL ADVANTAGE - Practical experience with cloud platforms, DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, containers, version control and software deployment processes.
